Steensland House Relocation
The first phase of the Bethel Idea Project, an 1895 home sitting alone in a parking lot is relocated across the block to a new location near Bethel Lutheran Church to allow for future development. The home was on the National Register of Historic Places and remains a local landmark in a national historic district. The home was a single family mansion before being acquired by Bethel Lutheran for a consignment retail shop. It’s new use will be apartments for college students who will receive rent credit for service to the community in support of the church outreach. Tax credits have been approved for the project from the National Park Service and State of Wisconsin.
