David has a Master’s degree in Architecture from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota. He believes in designing buildings that participate in the making of place. David enjoys working with clients to make their vision a reality through thoughtful iterations and collaboration in the design process. He has worked on multi-family housing, commercial offices, higher education, and breweries.

Outside of the office David enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Some of his favorite activities include playing hurling, pickleball, euchre and long walks in the woods aka hikes.

Christine Pearson, IIDA

Sr. Interior Designer

For Christine, interior design is about inspiring, provoking thought, and solving complexities. It’s where function meets aesthetic. It is an ever changing vision on how to create a space based on a client’s needs, social contexts, codes and regulations, industry research, and fundamental design principles. Her vision is about design to make us happier, more productive, safer, and healthier. Christine's design experience includes retail, corporate office, restaurant and hospitality environments.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from UW-Madison – May 2011
• Certificate in Business from UW-Madison
• Study abroad course at Peking University in Beijing, China “Feng Shui in China”
• Past VP of Professional Development, Board of Directors for the IIDA Wisconsin
• 2 years of retail design experience at Kohl’s Corporation

Shannon Miller, AIA

Sr. Project Architect

Shannon has an Associate's degree in architecture from Madison College and has worked hard to become a licensed architect and project architect. She has a wide range of technical skills that allow her to work on a variety of projects including active learning classrooms, fire stations, remodeling for many project types, and high tech laboratories. She believes that a successful project is one that exceeds the expectations of the owner.

In her free time, she enjoys camping with her family and friends, knitting (nothing too crazy) and long walks to wear out her sometimes naughty dog.

Amy Doyle

Principal

Wearing many hats for the company, often at the same time, Amy is the O in Organization. Amy wanted to be an architect when she grew up, so she earned an architecture degree from Kent State University. However, she decided that growing up left a lot to be desired, so she chose an alternate path. She worked for many years as a resource librarian for two large architectural firms. She researched building materials, furniture, fixtures & equipment for architects, interior designers, landscape architects and engineers. Through this work she developed excellent organization and research skills and she established lasting relationships with a wide range of industry experts. Amy worked in operations at an Amazon-affiliated company prior to joining Aro Eberle Architects as Office Manager.

When away from the office, she can be found cheering on her Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians. She also makes sassy greeting cards.

Matt Aro

Architect / Principal

Matt believes that architecture is fundamentally about capturing space and creating unique, memorable experiences. As company founder, Matt brings a particular eye for hospitality and commercial building design, is an effective navigator of development politics, and has an established track record of client satisfaction. Matt has built the company from small project roots, leaving a designer position working on large projects ($40M+) for his former employers to re-focus on the whole project delivery experience, from the earliest concept design through construction. Matt believes that architects and designers should see projects through from beginning to end, a philosophy that has proven effective at creating superior results and building long term relationships. His work has enjoyed awards from AIA Wisconsin and IIDA Wisconsin.

Matt enjoys being on the water, the sport of curling, fitness, bicycling, and reading science journals.

Doug Pahl, AIA, WRID

Architect / Principal

Doug has built his career around dedication to good design. He began his career in architecture working on large projects. He learned the practice of architecture from some very talented mentors, who instructed him that being a good designer involved understanding how buildings are actually built by the tradespeople. Doug has embraced this idea as part of his philosophy and believes that good craftsmanship begins at the drafting table. He also believes each project should say something about the client and therefore, creating a close working relationship is an important part of his design process. "Architecture is innately public, and therefore, it should serve all of society as well as it serves our clients"

Diana Davis, AIA

Architect/President

Diana joined Aro Eberle in 2019. She has a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She believes architecture is about creating meaningful spaces and is passionate about designing environments that have a positive effect on its users. While Diana has been a part of larger projects recently, she enjoys working on all types of projects and working collaboratively with a team. In addition to the projects Diana is working on, she is heavily involved in the local section of American Institute of Architects (AIA) and believes it is important to give back and advocate for the profession.

Outside of the office, Diana enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Around town you may find her trying out the newest restaurant/brewery, cheering on the Badgers or outside playing frisbee or soccer (all for fun, nothing too serious!).

Mike Eberle, AIA

Architect / Principal

Over the years, Mike has been a primary contributor to many successful and award winning projects. His keen eye for detail, paired with his core project management skills, has allowed him to lead science & technology, corporate office, health care, residential and multi-family housing, and retail/commercial projects. Prior to forming Aro Eberle Architects, he spent many years at a national firm working on large ($40M+) corporate and higher education projects across the country. Mike has always mentored younger architects and designers, and was recognized with the national AIA Young Architects award for service to the profession.
