The first phase of a facility renewal plan created by Aro Eberle Architects, this project conceived a major alteration to the entry experience to the library, which is housed primarily on the second floor the building. The intent was to enhance connectivity between the levels and to create an inviting and visually rich entry experience for patrons. Functional improvements for media handling to meet contemporary library patterns was also incorporated, including a new RFID sorting room. The first floor commons / café space was remodeled to enhance utilization and extend the community mission of the library.
